Lake Chabot Regional Park, Castro Valley

Located in the southern Berkley Hills in Alameda County, California, Lake Chabot in Castro Valley is a reservoir located in the park. Known for it's numerous trails and beautiful lake views, this location is a hotspot for hiking, jogging, bicycling, fishing, nature exploration, and picnicking.

Mild walk into the park with paved pathways. Steep stairs to get to the docks.

DOWNSIDES
It can take about 5 minutes to walk into the park after the entrance, so be sure to plan on arriving early for your session. It's a popular hotspot for all sorts of activities and may get very crowded on the weekends.
