We always say what better way to celebrate family love than with a photoshoot! Yes, it can be challenging getting everyone together and you may have some members who grumble that they don't like getting their photos taken, but what's always rewarding to us is that when those people who dread the photoshoot the most, end up saying "that was fun!"
One of the families in this photo has been our longtime clients, and she wanted to gift her mother-in-law with a family photoshoot. Seacliff Beach in Aptos has great significance for them, and this was one of the first times in awhile ALL the family were together in the same place at the same time! Some live out of state, so it was extra special.
The tricky thing about beach sessions is the weather. Especially during winter rainy season, we constantly check our weather apps hourly to see when it will rain or not. Originally this session was scheduled to be in the evening at golden hour, but due to the forecast saying "rain" was pending, we changed the session to the morning. God is so good, because within the hour and half of our session, the sun came out just a little to provide enough great light for these amazing photos! The crazy thing is--we prayed for good weather it literally began to rain RIGHT after our session ended!
Though it was cold, these kids (and adults!) braved the weather and were game for some running photos. We usually find that when kids have the opportunity to play or run (especially boys) they're more apt to have fun and enjoy the session!
We guarantee that when you plan a Legacy Session with your family, you'll never regret it!
KIND WORDS:

"I am not sure if I ever told you how much we LOVED the photos from the large family beach shoot. We went on vacation with my in-law's last week and one night my mother-in-law and I sat on the couch to look through EVERY photo to choose which ones to frame. She wanted me to tell you that she is so grateful for such beautiful photos of her family. We were both emotional reflecting on what an amazing family they've made."
