We've known both Gaby and Dylan since they were little and to be a part of this new season in their lives is such a privilege and blessing!
The newly engaged couple wanted a forest for their engagement shoot and Felton did not disappoint!
Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park has many different areas to photograph. We got there during golden hour and the light shining through the trees was so ethereal!
Being in a forest always brings back memories of camping trips and church youth camps when we were kids. The damp redwood smell, the hushed setting away from the busy city life, and the towering giants of the redwood trees provides such a calming atmosphere that you can't help but feel in awe of God's creation.
Also, there's a plus in being Lord of the Rings fans and acting out scenes from Lothlorien or Fangorn Forest (we may be nerds but we're proud nerds.) ;-)
Gaby and Dylan planned for two outfits which we absolutely loved! We went to good ol' Trader Joes and found some beautiful vibrant flowers to create a bouquet and add an extra pop of color. Included in the bouquet is one of Gaby's favorite flowers, the sunflower!
It was pretty chilly when the sun went down but we couldn't help but snap some extra photos in the field off of the parking lot (for real, actual cars were right next to us!) and battling the cold was worth it in the end.
We're excited to photograph their wedding this fall, and what better way to practice wedding photos than with an engagement photoshoot? Enjoy!
