As close as we live to San Francisco, we rarely make it up there for photography. But the city is so rich in photographic areas that we should definitely delve into it some more!
That's why we were excited to try out Marin Headlands for Chris and Joyce's engagement session! We did a lot of research (because in going to SF, you have to be "in the know" of "all the things").
For our first part of the session, we decided on Hawk Hill which offers glorious views of the Golden Gate Bridge as well as majestic landscape surrounding the area. You literally feel like you're above the clouds! Surprisingly, when we got there, we found a parking spot first try - whoop! - and scouted out the areas for the best light as well as best spots that weren't too crowded. It was a bit of a hike but so worth the climb for the spots we found!
It was windy - but we love the wind! When Joyce had shown us the first dress she chose, we knew it would photograph well in the wind! The billowy fabric added so much *glam* to these photos. Also, check out the bouquet - it was HANDMADE by the bride with wood...our minds were blown with how realistic the flowers were!
We got a little sidetracked with how beautiful everything looked that we realized the sun was going down - fast. So instead of hiking down to the Black Sands Beach that was originally planned, we drove to Rodeo Beach and caught the tail end of the sunset - and HOLY MOLY was it gorgeous!
We had so much fun exploring with these two and they are beautiful people. Looking at their photos, you can't help but smile! They are so kind and we're so excited for this next chapter in their lives!

Wow, the pictures are amazing!! You both made it so easy for us at the photoshoot, and it was really fun! I usually dread having to do a photoshoot!

We really can't thank you both enough! You gals are awesome! =)
