We've lived in Santa Clara County all our lives, and have never been to the Santa Clara University campus! When our grads reached out to us about having a potential group photoshoot, we were so stoked when we saw all the amazing architecture there, which included the infamous mission, water fountain and rose garden.
We had never photographed a group grad session before but we were excited for the challenge! The weather was amazing (we weren't sure if it was going to be hot but it actually was chilly!) and the SCU campus was beautiful!
We started out the session at the grads' nearby student housing and captured some fun memories on the porch. We then journeyed over to The Mission Santa Clara de Asis (the eighth-oldest mission site in California) and photographed some shots in the front.
The grads brought their red stoles and caps for their shoot wearing white dresses (for the girls) and a white dress shirt (for the guy) for the traditional SCU Grad Shoot photo style.
Then we ventured over to the rose garden and found some beautiful blooms with bright and vivid colors. We wanted to capture some golden sunlight, so we got some headshots our grads termed as "LinkedIn" photos and then made our way to the rose trellis arch.
We ended the session at the fountain (where you could tell there had been many grad shoots doing the celebratory champagne pop!) and captured some epic photos of the grads excited to end this exciting chapter and start a new one after graduation!
